Philly Cheesesteak Meatloaf, Delicious Philly Cheesesteak Meatloaf
Ingredients:
For the Meatloaf:
Ground beef
Onion, finely chopped
Green bell pepper, finely chopped
Mushrooms, finely chopped
Garlic, minced
Worcestershire sauce
Salt
Black pepper
Italian seasoning
Bread crumbs
Eggs
Provolone cheese, slices
For the Topping:
Provolone cheese, slices
For Garnish:
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Directions:
Preheat the Oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
Prepare the Meatloaf Mixture:
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, finely chopped onion, green bell pepper, mushrooms, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, bread crumbs, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
Place half of the meatloaf mixture into the prepared loaf pan, pressing it down evenly.
Add the Cheese Layer:
Layer slices of provolone cheese over the meatloaf mixture in the pan.
Top with the remaining meatloaf mixture, pressing down firmly to enclose the cheese layer.
Bake the Meatloaf:
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and drain any excess grease.
Add the Topping:
Layer slices of provolone cheese on top of the meatloaf.
Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
