Garlic Butter Steak Bites with Cheesy Smashed Potatoes

Ingredients:

-1 lb (450g) sirloin steak (cut into 1-inch cubes)
-3 tbsp unsalted butter
-4 cloves garlic (minced)
-1 tbsp olive oil
-Salt and pepper (to taste)
-Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
-Red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
For the Cheesy Smashed Potatoes:
-1 lb baby potatoes (red or yellow)
-2 tbsp olive oil
-2 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
-1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
-1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
-1/2 tsp garlic powder
-1/2 tsp onion powder
-Salt and pepper (to taste)
Fresh chives or parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Cheesy Smashed Potatoes:
-Boil the potatoes: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the baby potatoes and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and let them cool slightly.
