French Onion Beef and Noodles 😋
French Onion Beef and Noodles is a comforting and hearty dish that combines tender beef, savoury caramelised onions, and perfectly cooked noodles, all brought together with the rich flavours of French onion soup. The beef is seared until golden and then simmered in a broth infused with the sweet, deep flavour of caramelised onions, along with a touch of garlic, thyme, and beef stock, creating a sauce that is both rich and aromatic.
The noodles, cooked al dente, soak up the flavorful broth, while a hint of melted cheese, often Gruyère or Swiss, adds a creamy, indulgent finish. This dish is a delightful fusion of classic French onion flavours with the comforting appeal of beef and noodles, making it perfect for a cosy dinner or family meal.

-2 tablespoons olive oil
-1 pound beef stew meat
-1 teaspoon onion powder
-1 teaspoon garlic powder
-Salt and pepper, to taste
-1 can (10.5 ounces) French onion soup
-3 cups beef broth
-12 ounces egg noodles
-½ cup sour cream

While the beef is simmering, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Stir the sour cream and Parmesan cheese into the beef mixture until well combined.
Add the cooked egg noodles to the pot and stir to combine with the beef and broth mixture.
